Ethics is one of the cornerstones of our profession. Its existence and our accountability under it help increase trust in the profession. This webinar will focus on the ethical standards of CAANZ and will cover an introduction to ethics; a review of what ethics are; an overview of the Code of Ethics and the fundamental ethical principles.

 

The webinar will provide one of the six hours of ethics training required by CAANZ/NZICA every three years.

 

Specifically, it will cover:

  • The 5 fundamental principles
    • Integrity
    • Objectivity
    • Professional Competence and Due Care
    • Confidentiality
    • Professional Behaviour
  • Introduction to the Guidelines for:
    • Members in Business
    • Members in Practice

 

Throughout the webinar there will be a number of examples used to illustrate the points being made.

 

The webinar will not cover anything to do with ethics for assurance and audit engagements.

 

Upon completion of the webinar, you will be able to:

 

  • explain the main features of the Ethics requirements of CAANZ/NZICA
  • meet one of the six hours of ethics training required by CAANZ/NZICA every three years.
  • consider the impact of the ethics requirements on your work situation
