  • committee members of Incorporated Societies
  • advisers to Incorporated Societies

Duration: 1.00 CPD hours (55 mins plus 5 mins Q&A)

THE COURSE MATERIALS

By 7th April 2026 all Incorporated Societies in New Zealand will be required to be registered under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. Failure to re-register existing Societies will result in the Society ceasing to exist. This will raise issues as to the ownership and disposal of the assets of the Society once it is struck off the Register of Incorporated Societies and ceases to exist.

The re-registration process includes the preparation and adoption of a new Constitution (rules) for the re-registered Society. Many Societies are finding this re-registration process confusing and difficult.

The course materials aim to simplify the process. They include:

  • A comprehensive guide to the re-registration process
  • A Constitution that will suit the vast majority of Incorporated Societies
  • A simple re-Registration Application Form

With the assistance of these course materials, you will be able to quickly, and simply, comply with the re-registration process and avoid potentially disastrous consequences for your Incorporated Society.
