Product Description

Many groups in the community exist for purposes that the law recognises as being “charitable”. As these groups provide a benefit to the public, there are a number of tax concessions provided to them. In this webinar we will look at two practical issues that arise as a result of these concessions.

Topics covered in this webinar are:

  • Income tax exemption
  • Donee status
  • What is (or is not) a donation that qualifies for the tax credit

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity, you will be able to:

  • define income tax exemption
  • know how the rules and principles apply
  • understand better which donations qualify for a donations tax credit
  • identify relevant tax issues
  • articulate the tax implications in each of the areas
This course will be suited to:
  • intermediate through to advanced accountants in public practice who are dealing with charities
  • accountants employed by charities.

Duration: 1.00 CPD hours (approx. 55 mins content + 5 mins Q&A)
