Product Description

Since GST legislation was introduced in 1986 many accountants still struggle to cope with a number of complex GST issues.

This Triplecast is intended to review a number of GST complexities and shed some light on the issues. Rather than purely a technical analysis we will select and tackle “real life” issues.

The Triplecast will use case studies as a way of presenting the issues. The content will review the applicable GST law and interpretation as it applies to the specific issues. The issues covered in the Triplecast will include:

  • Adjustments for private use of assets
  • Zero rating of land sales
  • Sales of going concerns
  • Dealing with associated people
  • What activity constitutes a “taxable activity”
  • Ceasing a taxable activity
  • Renting out holiday homes
  • E-commerce
  • Common IRD audit issues

The 3 hour Triplecast will be followed up with a 1 hour question and answer webinar

Upon satisfactory completion of the Triplecast you will be able to:

  • Have an increased understanding of the GST issues in the areas covered
  • Have more confidence in advising SME clients on the issues covered in the Triplecast
  • have a greater awareness of options available and the GST implications of the options

Total CPD Hours: 3 Hours + 1 Hour Q&A webinar
