The purpose of this webinar is to review some of the obligations and responsibilities imposed by the Income Tax legislation and IR on payments made to employees.

It will cover the way in which the legislation taxes a variety of payments to employees.

Specifically, the webinar will consider:                           
• Who is an employee?                                 
• Salaries and wages, bonuses, extra pay                                             
• Other payments to employees including payments for golden handshakes, golden parachutes, restraint of trade and hurt, humiliation or loss of dignity                                              

There will be an introduction to allowances/reimbursements, the entertainment rules and FBT.

• articulate the latest information affecting payments and other benefits to employees                        
• explain recent changes                                      
• make better decisions about the income tax treatment of these payments and benefits
