The webinar will first introduce cryptocurrency before considering some of the recent developments in both NZ and the world in relation to the use of cryptocurrency. We will cover off the latest thinking from IRD and discuss practical tax issues with some examples.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
• understand the current taxation issues around the treatment of cryptocurrency assets and the requirements
• advise your clients on their taxation obligations/liabilities
• take a tax position that is defendable
