Product Description

The Inland Revenue has issued a number of operational and practice statements in recent months relating to the GST and income tax rules as they apply to charities, not-for-profit organisations and schools.

This course will look at those views and areas of focus. We will work through what it means for these organisations and consider what, if any, changes may be made to mitigate any taxation outcomes or impacts.

There will be a practical focus as we look at a variety of scenarios to help better understand the implications.

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:
• Navigate the GST and income tax rules as they are being applied to this sector
• Advise your Charities, Schools and Not-For-Profits on areas of IRD focus or concern, and the current views being adopted in relation to both income tax and GST
• Work through and assist in implementing any changes that may be required or desired
