This course will look at the key tax changes contained in the latest tax bill. This Bill was introduced on 30 August and withdrawn on 1 September, but will be reintroduced mid-September without the controversial GST changes to KiwiSaver management fees.
The webinar will consider some of the significant changes in the Bill including:
• Changes to the bright-line and interest deductibility rollover relief
• Imposition of GST on supplies through digital marketplaces, which will impact those letting houses via Airbnb and the like
• Changes to the GST apportionment rules that apply where supplies are used for taxable and non-taxable purposes
